Vote for the UK’s Classic Car of the Year 2013

Classic Car of the Year Voting OpenThe finalists are in and it’s now the turn of the public to choose their favourite car to be selected as the winner of the 2013 Classic Car of the Year Award.

Held in conjunction with Lancaster Insurance, the award began in 2010 and it has encouraged the public, whatever their age, to choose their favourite classic car. Whether it’s a high-powered, maximum performance supercar or an everyday family run-around, they’re fighting for your vote. The top five cars will go to November’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, where the winner will be announced.

This year’s top 30 classic cars includes popular classics from the 1950s and ‘60s, including a Morris Minor, a Hillman Imp, a Vauxhall Wyvern, a very early Mini and Ford’s family-friendly Cortina saloon. Sports cars make a welcome appearance too, with Austin-Healeys and a Triumph TR6 representing some of the UK’s best-loved performance machinery.

From the upper echelons a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, an Aston Martin DB6 and a Lamborghini Countach will be looking for votes, and for the more technically-minded a first-generation Lotus Elite and a Tatra T97 should appeal to those who favour slide rules over computers.

There’s all to play for in this year’s Classic Car of the Year Award. All that’s needed now is your vote!

The vote runs until the 27th September so don’t waste any time in choosing your favourites, and remember it’s their stories that count. See www.ccoty.co.uk for more details.
