Vintage Electric Cars Lead the Historics Sale
Historics at Brooklands saw not just some iconic classics, but two very special vintage cars change hands on Saturday, showing that electric cars are no new thing. In total over £3million pounds went under the hammer.
The two vintage electric cars sold with strong prices, with a 1906 Waverley (top) going for £44,800 and a 1907 Victor finally going for £38,080.
In total 136 different vehicles, across an amazing 47 marques and eleven decades, were offered, making it an extraordinarily varied classic car auction.
A 1972 Lotus Plus 2S (above) owned by the late Ronnie Peterson saw the greatest energy with a final sale price of £72,800 to a UK bidder – far beyond the £28,000-£35,000 estimate.
