Classic Car Auctions Ready for Inaugural Sale

1971 Fiat 500L

Brand new classic car auction house CCA will be offering more than 80 classic cars at its launch sale on 3rd March, held at the world renowned Silverstone circuit.

Our personal favourite is a real little classic – a 1971 Fiat 500L (top). With an upgraded 0.6 litre engine, this lovingly restored classic is a real head-turner.

2001 Rover Mini Cooper

Another stand out car is a 2001 Rover Mini Cooper (above), a last of the line example from the Longbridge plant and the last to be sold in Scotland – a true modern classic. This Mini is sold in ‘as new’ condition having covered just 182 miles, and is expected to fetch up to £16,000 at auction.

Other highlights include a 1993 BMW M5 Nurburgring, estimated at between £11,000 and £13,000. With a powerful 3.8 litre engine and still in its original condition, this car would provide a thrilling drive for any classic car enthusiast.

1957 Volkswagen T2 pickup/race car transporter

One particularly special lot on offer is a 1957 Volkswagen T2 pickup/race car transporter (above). Having covered little over 8,000 miles in 17 years and fully restored with its original interior, this transporter presents an exciting opportunity for investment and is anticipated to sell for between £17,000 and £19,000.

A 1972 Opel GT 1.9L (below) has also attracted wide interest. Having recently undergone a £21,000 restoration, this rare car presented in bright orange is sure to turn heads, with an estimated price of between £10,500 and £11,500. A 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E Cosworth is also to be offered at the launch sale. Purchased new by Lord Litchfield, this lot is offered at no reserve.

Joe Watts, auction manager of CCA, said: “It is very exciting to have had so many fantastic classic cars consigned into our first sale. As the classic car market thrives, we’re confident that CCA will provide a fresh and affordable outlet for classic car enthusiasts.”

CCA will also be auctioning a “General Lee” 1988 Reliant Rialto Van (below) in a charity sale, with all proceeds donated to the Mercia MS Therapy Centre in Coventry.

The sale will commence at 2pm with esteemed classic car expert Quentin Willson hammering away the first lot, a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC, after hosting a talk on how to buy a classic car at auction to attendees at the sale.
