The Brooklands Society was founded by Bill Boddy on 5th October 1967 to preserve the story and history of Brooklands Motor Course and Aerodrome and to restore the famous banked racetrack. The Society was registered as The Brooklands Society Limited on 18th October 1967.

In the early seventies the society managed to gain access to the Brooklands site for the first time since 1939. After clearing over 30 years’ of scrap aircraft and industrial materials the Brooklands Museum Trust was formed in 1991 – along with the Brooklands Museum, sadly now only occupying 30 of the original 300 acres.

The Brooklands Society organises a number of events throughout the year, including event and film nights, dinners and the annual Brooklands Society Reunion.

The society continues to work on restoring the famous Brooklands banking.
